It is not joy that makes us grateful; it is gratitude that makes us joyful.”
― David Steindl-Rast

Gratitude is an attitude that awakens us to the blessings around us. Being thankful is a conscious decision to be grateful for what the Lord gives us and how He helps us every day. Even a single thought of gratitude toward the Lord for His help begins to change our hearts. It also changes our thoughts and thought patterns until, over time, our tendency is to be happy and satisfied with our lives. Being thankful becomes a natural and regular expression. Thankfulness begets more thankfulness and opens up the flow of giving into our lives. We begin to see God working on our behalf in our daily life. At this point, we are thankful for the little things and every aspect of our lives, including the challenges that we sometimes face. And this ultimately leads us to contentment.

“Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don’t get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes.” Matthew 6:34, MSG

So often, we live juxtaposed between the past and future. You can’t move forward when you are looking behind you. You also miss out on the present when you are looking ahead to the future. In reality, all we ever have to experience in the present is 24-hours. Focus on today!

You Have Not Failed

FAILURE = Not meeting a desired or intended objective.
FAIL = Fall short, leave undone, neglect.

Some of you need to hear that you didn’t FAIL! So long as you didn’t give up and quit, you never failed.

Failure is a part of the journey; if viewed correctly, it helps guide us to what will help us succeed.

Just keep going… no matter how it looks or how you feel.

Your breakthrough is closer than you think!
