I passed a billboard on the freeway today that said, “Your time to shine.” At first glance, it didn’t really captivate me. But, as I kept driving, those words lingered in my mind. I began to sense that the Lord had a special meaning behind the words I had seen.
There are many in the body of Christ who have been tucked away in the shadows, hidden and covered by the Lord. It has been a season of growth and maturation. But this “incubation” period is coming to an end.
The knowledge that these sons and daughters of the Lord have acquired during their time of isolation needs to be shared. They are meant to be a shining example of hope and light in this world. They are voices the world needs to hear.
I felt that for many, their time in the shadows is nearing an end. I also sensed an excited anticipation from the Lord for the unveiling of His children. It was as if he was literally saying, “It’s your time to shine!”
“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”
Matthew 5:14-16 NIV
It’s your time. Shine!
