You Can Trust an Unknown Future to a Known God

“Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God.” What a powerful message from Corrie Ten Boom. Is our future really unknown? Or is it only unknown to us? What a great reminder that with a known God, who is unchanging, our future is never uncertain. Hold on to that in the midst of “uncertainty.”

The Kingdom is Inside You

Jesus said the kingdom was within us, which means it is already inside us. The kingdom is an integral part of our being. It is not something external that we strive to reach. Because we, like Jesus, are now one with the Father, when we speak, we speak from a place of authority and with the creative power of God. We are speaking God’s will and His words when we speak in accordance with the Holy Spirit’s leading. God’s Word will not come back void, which means that, when we speak with His wisdom and authority, we are now co-creators with Him. We create from inside ourselves through our thoughts and words that shape our outside world. This is how the Kingdom of God advances.

The Coming of the Kingdom
Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, “The kingdom of God does not come with observation; nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.”
(Luke 17:20-21 NKJV)

A New Breed of Leaders Emerging

There is a new breed of leaders emerging. They are quiet, unassuming, they wouldn’t necessarily call themselves leaders, and they don’t seek out the spotlight. But the Lord has built up in them a quiet strength, unshakable resilience, strong character, and divine wisdom. They will not necessarily look the way people expect. But they are the ones chosen by God during this unprecedented time in history.

When you encounter them, you will know in your spirit that they are from God. They will appear suddenly and unexpectedly. The answers and solutions to the current issues in the world will be found in them. This new breed of leaders will remind us of truths that have been forgotten. Worldwide, they will help guide and lead humanity out of the chaos.

Beyond the feeling in your spirit, you will also be able to recognize these leaders by their actions. A leader inspires other people to such a level of confidence that it moves them to action. As expressed by John Quincy Adams, one of the early presidents of this country, “If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.”

Things are Bursting Forth in Your Favor

The Lord often communicates with me in interesting and unique ways. This afternoon, I was washing a medium-size mason jar. It was filled about a third of the way with soap and water. I put the lid back on and started shaking the jar, so the movement of the water would clean the inside of the jar for me.

In the middle of a pretty vigorous shake, the lid flew off and soapy water burst out all over the place. You would think I would get upset but instead I started laughing. Something in my spirit rose up about unexpected blessing.

My husband and I have been working very hard for quite some time to change our current circumstances. The feeling I had from the Lord was that unexpectedly, in the midst of “shaking things up,” that things were going to quickly and unexpectedly burst forth in our favor over every area of our life, and it was going to be bigger and better than anything we could expect.

But we aren’t the only ones working to shift and change broken past paradigms. There are many out there doing the same hard work as us. And, I felt in my spirit that the unexpected breakthrough and blessing is meant for many.

If you have been working towards the new, yet the old seems to be clinging to you, just keep going. We are closer than we think. And, when we least expect it, things are going to burst forth in our favor.

Thoughts Create Our World

Have you ever noticed that negative people who only speak about how bad everything is in their life end up leading miserable lives? These people are unwittingly or unknowingly speaking “death” over their lives. Positive people, who speak words filled with optimism and hope, are speaking “life” over themselves and end up leading happier, more successful lives. Our words and our thoughts create our reality.

What we focus on becomes bigger and more powerful in our minds. When we think on something long enough, it becomes part of us. Eventually, we act out on those thoughts through our words or actions. When we speak the things in our hearts, we are prophesying over ourselves. If we are going to prophesy our future, we need to make sure it is filled with life and what the Lord desires for us.
