Inspiration is Everywhere

Inspiration can come from anywhere and take any form. And it usually appears right at the moment you need it the most. It is a little nudge to keep you going or to help redirect your course in the right direction.

I have a very unique relationship with the Lord. I see Him as an integral part of everything. Because of this, I see Him in a lot of places that most people don’t think to look, and places that people don’t recognize that it is the Lord trying to interact with them.

The other day I was really struggling and having a hard time staying in a positive place. I needed a little inspiration to help get my focus back in the right place. I decided to take a walk to clear my head. Early in my walk, a bright yellow cab with the words “FAITH CAB” drove past me. It caught my attention and caused me to pause and think about the word faith for a moment.

A few hours later, I decided to take a break and watch a show. I’ll admit, I was still struggling a bit and just wanted to relax in front of a show. Towards the very end of the show, the same phrase was spoken twice, “You just need to keep a little faith.” At this point, I was beginning to see a divine theme emerge.

Later that evening, I needed to run a couple of errands. I was standing in the back of a store when the words of the background music caught my attention. The song lyrics I heard were, “I’ll catch you when you fall and we made it after all … after all.” By now, my spirits were lifting and I was feeling better.

While standing in the checkout line at the same store, a woman in front of me had a t-shirt with the word “RAINBOW” on the back. The Lord knows how much I love rainbows. I love that they are the emblem of his faithfulness, His sign that He will always keep His promises. A smile was on my face by now.

I got into my car to head back home. A song was ending on the radio as I started the car. The only words I heard of that song were, “Things will get better than this.” I actually laughed out loud. The Lord had gone out of His way to drive His point home to me. He was doing everything to reassure me that He would be faithful to me and that He is taking care of the current situation I find myself in.

He gave me the inspiration I needed to keep faith that this situation will end and things are getting better for me. But I would not have received the divine help that I needed if I hadn’t recognized that the Lord was trying to communicate with me. So, how is He trying to inspire you today?
